We chose the font to be pink because it is feminine and delicate, just like Desdemona herself. The font flows across the page well with the grace of the character who is being portrayed. The background is white, which represents her purity, honesty, and innocence. The sides of the background also feature strawberries. We chose to add this to the background because there are strawberries on the handkerchief Desdemona got from Othello and it is very important to her. The image with the first blog entry features a quote about loyalty. We felt this is appropriate because throughout her actions she demonstrates a strong conviction for loyalty. The image following the second blog entry is an image of her handkerchief from Othello. Desdemona is so desperate to find it, that we felt she would ask all her friends to help her look for it. We also included other images to make the blog more realistic. Everything we added follows the main theme of love and we feel that it would be pictures that Desdemona would have on her blog. The music featured on the blog is a collection of classic and modern love songs. The first song to play is “My Heart WIll Go On” from the movie Titanic, which is about love enduring all things. Another song is “Better Together” by Jack Johnson which is about how great love is. We feel that the title of the blog, “Confessions of a Hopeless Romantic” expresses the thoughts of Desdemona. She is so in love with Othello that we thought it is fitting that she would describe herself as such.
